Following my short career at sea which was ended following an accident ashore. I was determined to continue
in the Fishing Industry and so My Grandfather, Jim Leadley MBE, My Father, "Young" Jim Leadley and My Uncle, Peter Leadley,
who is, like my grandfather, sadly no longer with us, encouraged me in the art of Trawl Making and Gear Supply. Caedmon
Nets was established in 1989.
Almost 20 years on we are still Net Makers and Designers, Suppliers of Netting, Ropes, Twines and Cordages. Gear
Suppliers and Gear Technologist. In addition to this we are manufacturers and suppliers of Nets and Tarpaulins for every application
in the Commercial Fishing Industry, Agricultural & Industrial sector, Waste Systems, Transport Cover Nets and Tarpaulins,
Sports Nets such as Cricket Practice Nets etc, Safety Nets and Debris Netting, Pest Netting for the control of Rabbits, Seagulls,
Pigeons, Starlings, Sparrows, etc.
We are also able to supply Rope by the coil or cut lengths, Twines by the spool and Bungee Cord by the Reel etc.

THE WHITBY BOLTROPE TRAWL......
As Trawl Makers, we make a wide range of trawl designs but we specialise in the heavy Deep Water Trawl sector and
we are the designers and makers of the Whitby Boltrope Trawl Mark I, II & III. The Whitby Boltrope Trawl is currently
being used by the MFV Farnella, MFV Marbella, MFV Proekt, MFV Martha Arendzee, and MFV Samphire.
